We are almost a week over due. This baby is not ready but will have to come sooner or later. On Wednesday April 12, 2006 I will be induced if there hasn't been any change before. I'm really hoping to go in to labour on my own before Tuesday night. I am getting a bit nervous now that it's so close. It's going to hurt but I know the end result will be amazing and beautiful! And I really can't wait anymore. There's a lot of fun and happiness and hard work and joy ahead of us and in the life that is ahead for this child. The hardest part I think will be watching her learn through trials and challenges she'll have to face. I love her so much already. Right now she must be stretching I can feel pressure and pushing against my ribs and abdomen I hope this means she's ready to come out!
You know it's weird I always felt this baby would be born the second week of April and even specified April 12th as the date of birth. I also felt from the start that this was a girl.
The past few days I've been trying ways to induce labour naturally. I read on the internet about eating spicy foods, pineapple, and taking evening primrose oil so I tried all those as well as horse back riding, walking, biking and running. Obviously that didn't work because here I am!! Still preg-o.
My parents bought us a very nice glider and ottoman. It's SO nice! We love it! It's going to be great for rocking the baby especially at night. It was not an inexpensive one either. They spent a lot on it and Mont and I felt bad about that but they insisted it was fine. We are so thankful!
Well I hope my next entry in here will be about the baby that we "on the outside"
We are so blessed. Mont and I have had so many changes and blessings in our first year of marriage and I Know there is much much more to come.

39 Weeks
6 days away from my April 5th due date and no sign that this baby is coming any time soon. Besides a few things that have happened in the last couple weeks that make it obvious that this baby is preparing and labour is coming sooner than I feel ready to take on. I know it's inevitable though.
We thought my water broke last Saturday so Mont called the hospital and they advised us to come in so they could see if my membranes had ruptured. I didn't have any contractions after so I'm not sure what happened there but the nurse looked things over and we left after about an hour and in a way wish we'd never gone in but it was important that we went for the baby's safety. IF there's a chance the baby could get an infection then it's first priority is to find out for her sake.
I had two nights this week that contractions were painful but they have also since gone away.
At my check up Dr. Browne said it's soft but not open so I think we have time. I am just grateful she's head down and that things are good and the baby's healthy and still active in there where she's safe for now.
Every day Mont asks if I'm having the baby today. He's so excited, it's cute. He's going make such an amazing dad. He's so loving and gentle. I love him so much and I can't wait to give him this child. It'll be so amazing to have our baby and will change a lot about our home and relationship.
Mont suggested another name for the baby. I always only liked the name Kinlee but we both kind of like the name Kale too. Mont still doesn't want a middle name. I think I do, but I can't think of one. Kale Jensen. We bought the movie "Dreamer" and the girls name on there is Kale (spelt Cale). We might be buying a horse and a baby all in the same week. Exciting and good though. It's an 11 year old gilding. I know it'll make Mont happy to have both. He loved his horse Poco and misses him. Mont used him as a team rope horse. His heart is in roping and riding. He loved it and wants to be able to do it still. He hurt his back really bad when he was young and has made it through two very difficult and long scary surgeries. It's a miracle he can even walk and function as good as he does for what he's been through. He's amazing our baby is very lucky to have such a strong person as her dad. He's not a quitter---he will never give up! It's just not in him. He amazes me every day! ANyway, I'm glad he found a horse---I hope he really likes him and that we do get him. It'll be fun for him and good for our kids once they are a little older and can get on the horse safely.
One more day of work and then I am finished for good. I can't wait to stay at home and be a mom!!
It's been really neat to experience the past nine months and to feel this baby grow and move and now it's large and ready to face the world. I am also ready for our baby to come. I feel large and uncomfortable.
Some of the most uncomfortable things have been heart burn and back aches, hips ached and peed way too often, especially lately. I have had a good pregnancy though and I really can't complain. I am just grateful I can get pregnant and stay pregnant and I hope that I can handle delivering a baby too. It's really an amazing process.
Any day now though. Would be nice.
I am pretty tired all the time and will trade that for a different kind of tired with being up in the night with a newborn.
Holli would have a week old baby right now. She has her kids 2 weeks early. I am 39 weeks and 1 day so I'm almost to the full 40 weeks along.
At least it's spring time. I love spring! And I'm excited to have this baby in the spring season and for it to be an April baby. I've always loved the month of April.

38 Weeks
Mont and I were married 11 months ago today. And we are very close to having our first baby. Could be any day now really. I had Braxton-Hicks contractions hard a week and a half ago and I was sure we were going to have this baby on March 15th. I also lost most of the mucous plug (I hate that word) at the same time which scared me bad at first and thats when the contractions started. I read up on both things and learned that those things happen and can happen any where from hours to weeks before real labour begins. I've had minor contractions since but not nearly what it was and I'm sure nothing close to what it will be. It just feels like everything tightens and contracts for a few seconds at a time (up to 30 or so) enough to make me need to grip something near me to handle the small pain that it causes. More like severe discomfort than pain. But intense! I can't believe how fast this has all gone by. It's Crazy! We've been so busy. With work and callings at church and getting out to have fun too we've managed to keep very busy.
I only have five days left of work at the clinic and I am okay with that. Apparently there was a lot of bad feelings toward me from some of the doctors about me coming back three months pregnant. Ron asked me to leave by the end of February which came as a shock to me. He'd hired Jacquie Smith already 2 months before I had told him I'd work until. Things turned around for me when Barb Falk quit which left them in a bind so they came back to me asking if I'd work until I can't anymore or until March 31st. So here we are. It's different there now than it was before when I worked there everyone was more enjoyable and happy there was way less backbiting!
So it'll be nice to be home with my baby and not have to work outside of the home.
Mont loves his new job. Sometimes I can tell that it stresses him out. He hates to disappoint his boss so it eats at him when he isn't as good as he wants to be. But he is only getting better all the time. We feel very blessed in our lives to have the jobs we do but especially his and to bring a child in to a home that has a decent steady income that can only get better.
As far as this pregnancy goes (since this is a pregnancy, not personal, journal) I feel good. I've gained about 25 lbs but people tell me I don't look big anywhere but in my stomach area. I feel it everywhere though. The baby still moves, a lot. Pushes hard against my body! If she were born now she's considered full term and will survive.
Within two weeks we could have a baby and Mont wants her here now. I was worried it was coming last week which would have been hard for me because Lauren was finally sealed and blessed after 18 months of waiting for it I did not want to miss it. We made it and it was amazing especially the sealing. The spirit was so strong and Lauren is so special that the experience is beyond words to express but it was perfect. I am so glad that she will be ours forever now just like this baby growing inside me. I hope Lauren and our baby will grow up to be good friends and a strength to each other in the hard times that this world will likely inflict on them. It's an awful evil time and will be difficult without the influence of good people who stay away from the degrading things of this world. It's also a very amazing time to come to the earth with all the good that is in it too!
This pregnancy is almost over and our baby will be here. We are so excited and looking forward to meeting our beautiful daughter and holding her for the first time. A lot of changes but all for the better. We will do the best we can to raise our child to be happy and will always to whats best for her. We've loved her already and always will. We've loved this baby from the moment we knew we were pregnant and a very long time before this. I know we were a family meant to be together forever----we lived before we came to this earth and Mont and I found each other and were sealed for all time and eternity in the Cardston Alberta Temple on April 23rd 2005 and we are now bringing our first born child in to this world approximately 11 months after our sealing together our family to come. We are so blessed to have this knowledge and to be married in a Temple of the Lord to benefit our future family as much as each other!
This book has been used as a pregnancy journal and I think I will continue to use it as a journal and a place to scrapbook items for Kinlee. I hope one day she will treasure this book and look to it when she finds herself in a similar stage in her life. or just whenever she wants to know that she is loved and has been since long before she even realizes.

33 Weeks
Only 7 weeks away from my due date.
I am getting excited and nervous, a little, for the delivery. But I'm sure it'll be just fine. Women have done this for hundreds and thousands of years and without the technology and options for less pain that doctors have now.
The upstairs is finished now. With carpet and trim and paint it looks and feels a lot nicer. We are prepared for the baby if it were to come any day. Hopefully that doesn't happen but if it did we have clothes, diapers, car seat, bassinet and diaper bag. We should have more blankets and probably lots of other things but the bare necessities to start with.
I cheated and got another ultrasound to find out the gender of our baby. Deep down I kind of thought this whole time that this baby is a girl. According to the ultrasound, the baby is female. We are excited about having a daughter. If she is a girl we will mostly likely be naming her Kinlee Jensen. Mont insists on naming our girls without middle names. If we did put a middle name with Kinlee, all I can think of that flows is Rae. But Mont's pretty adamant about not having a middle name. I should be too considering my name has always had more letters than the alphabet. Dawna Elvida Rae Fredriksen-Jensen. Way too long! If she turns out to be a boy---Mont likes the name Brogan with the middle name King. I like the name Stetson. But in a way not really...Stetson Jensen...I don't know. Anyway it's probably a girl so we don't have to worry about naming a boy. Either way we so excited to have this baby. To meet and see her for the first time. The ultrasound picture I got last time looking like Mont to me.
I got hit last month with a bad bad cold and fever. I did not feel well at all and even had to miss work. About 10 hours. I couldn't take anything and that made it hard. Plus in the middle of it I fell pretty hard when my knee gave out on my which left me with extremely aching joints, hip and back pain. My hips hurt so bad I could hardly walk especially by the end of the day. It was horrible. I made it through all that somehow and just today I'm noticing my lymphnodes are swollen and sore. I really hope I don't start this all over again. I guess if I have to have it it's better now than when I am suppose to have this baby. It's hard not being able to take anything when you're that sick. I did end up taking 1/2 a Tylenol one night after Mont gave me a blessing and the fever left fast after that. The sweetest thing he did when I was that sick besides the blessing and back rub afterwards was when he boiled pot after pot of water for a bath I so desperately needed warm and soothing while I was so ill. Our Hot Water supply is very low apparently and the cold ran through when the hot should have way too soon. Sweet Mont took care of me so well and I felt the fever leave me that night. With a hot bath, 1/2 a safe pain pill for pregnant women, and some TLC from Mont...I made it through. See what a good dad he so obviously will be someday....very soon!
I am quite big now. Still fit in to my normal jeans but I have put on 15-20 lbs.
I am 33 weeks pregnant. The baby moves all the time. Now that she weighs 4 lbs and is almost 16 inches long---the movements aren't so gentle anymore. My ribs get kicked and pressed on allt he time. She's in the birthing position now (head against cervix, spine along my left side and feet up by my ribs) Way to go baby!! So when she stretches she pushes hard against my bladder and sometimes makes it unbearable. But over-riding all of the discomforts is the joy of still feeling life inside of me. It's amazing! More than anything, I wish Christal could experience this for herself! She is more open with me about it now and talks about it more than she used to.

28 Weeks
I am down to only 12 weeks left. I am 28 weeks pregnant this week. And it's going really good so far---still. I've been really blessed to have such a good pregnancy. All that was "bad" was in the first 3 months---from Aug-Oct. I hope it continues this way. I also hope I am overdue. At least past the first week in April. But really whenever this baby comes I hope he or she is healthy. I've tried to stay healthy and eat well during the last 6-7 months I've known that I am expecting. Even before that I have always been a healthy eater and tried to exercise as often as I could. Mont got me an Mp3 Player for Christmas and it's awesome for going walking and things.
I've put on weight, of course. It's normal to gain 20-40 lbs during pregnancy. I hope I stop gaining too much more. I jumped 6 lbs in December. I know the baby grew a ton that month though cuz my abdomen definitely did.
The baby moves so much. I feel him all the time and sometimes can see the movements through my shirts. It's so cool. Mont has felt it when he puts his hand on my stomach. I love feeling him/her pushing and kicking and it scares me sometimes if it seems like a long time since I've felt him/her.
We have done a lot to prepare for this baby to come. We are getting carpet put in on the 19th of this month. Rob made us a crib for our Christmas present. Mike also helped. And it is so nice---solid oak. We love it! Kolten was over the other day. He noticed the crib and asked if it was for Lauren. then realized what it was really for and said, "No it's for the baby in your tummy." He's getting excited I think. He told me he wants it to be a boy and he wants him out of my tummy so he can show him all of his toys and we can all play with them. He's cute!!
I am in to my last trimester and I can proudly say I am still wearing my normal jeans. I am crossing my fingers that I won't have to wear maternity jeans. They're the ugliest things. Plus Linda thinks I will have to soon. Actually about a month ago she said I wouldn't be wearing them a week from then. I still am. If I keep walking I think I won't have a problem with the jeans not fitting. (That is, if I can stay away from McDonalds salty Fries. That is one weakness I have definitely had).
We ordered a car seat and stroller last Saturday cuz it was on sale and it's a jogger stroller which will be good for walking off the pounds after the baby is born. I wanted this one also because I haven't seen anyone else with the same one. And it's discontinued now too. We also bought a Pack & Play with a bassinet and change pad in it and its dang nice too! It's where our baby will sleep in it's first few months.
We painted upstairs and that room will be ready---all but the small things once the carpet is done and the trim/baseboards.
I am still working 4 days a week. And subbing on my day off when I get a chance.
Darren and Christal are on the waiting list to adopt another baby. I am so excited for them. Besides I think it makes it that much easier for them to deal with me being pregnant. Which is not that easy for them especially Christal. It's actually not as bad now---and I am really starting to show. She openly says things about it to me and to Kolten too.
Some things happen that really make you appreciate what can easily be taken for granted. On Jan. 3rd Amanda Bevans who was 5 months pregnant gave birth to a 1 lb baby girl. She only lived to take a couple breaths and then she passed away. Christal went to the funeral and when she came home---she told me about it and we cried so much that day. It was/is so sad to imagine what she (Amanda) must be going through. Yet it makes me so grateful for what I have.
